Neutrosophic method for the evaluation of body mechanics in patient mobilization
Main Article Content
Abstract
Various studies show that musculoskeletal injuries in nursing staff are, in a high percentage, due to the inadequate application of body mechanics during patient mobilization. Body mechanics includes the adequate, coordinated and safe use of the body to cause movement and avoid the appearance of injuries. For this, there are several important studies that support its correct application and guarantee good health. The present investigation aims to develop a neutrosophic method for the evaluation of body mechanics in patient mobilization. A cross-sectional analytical study of descriptive origin with retrospective characteristics and prospective purposes was carried out. The implementation of the method for the evaluation of body mechanics in patient mobilization allowed determining the behavior of mobility in 6 patients as case studies. It was possible to evidence a lack of knowledge on the subject of body mechanics in patient mobilization, before, during or after the execution of procedures, which is the cause of musculoskeletal injuries in nursing staff.
