Abstract
This research paper analyzes the Spike case ruling, which stands as a milestone in Ecuadorian jurisprudence by marking the paradigm shift in the legal treatment of animal abuse. This article examines in detail the evidence, especially the videos and testimonies presented during the trial since they were a fundamental part of the classification of animal abuse as a crime with prison sentences. The objective of the research is to develop a multi-criteria neutrosophic method to estimate the impact of ruling No. 17297-2022-02100, Spike Case in Ecuador.
