Main Article Content
Abstract
Total or partial edentulism causes alterations in the quality of life of patients, therefore, the rehabilitation of these individuals is carried out through dental prostheses, restoring masticatory function and facial aesthetics, to avoid injuries or damage to oral tissues. To care for the prostheses, proper cleaning is important, in which the materials must fulfill a bactericidal and fungicidal function, considering the ability to not alter the physical and mechanical properties of these. The present research proposes the development of a method for the control of the care and management of dental prostheses in geriatric patients. The proposed method consists of three main processes: profile selection, evaluation of the alternatives and selection of the knowledge base of the similarity profile. From its implementation in the case study, it was possible to make a demonstrative example of its operation.
