Abstract
A balanced diet is essential for the well-being of older adults, as it directly influences their quality of life. The Mediterranean Diet, known for its emphasis on regional Mediterranean foods such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains, offers numerous benefits, including reduced risk of heart disease, diabetes and depression, as well as improved physical and mental health related to aging. The present research aims to develop a neutrosophic method for recommending a healthy diet for geriatric patients with total and partial prostheses. To generate the recommendations, associated profiles were taken into account that contemplate factors such as the patient's age, which impacts their nutritional needs, since as they age, their metabolism and nutrient absorption capacity can be altered. In addition, physical conditions, such as their level of mobility and the presence of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension or heart problems. These criteria were evaluated using a similarity function to personalize the diet.
