Neutrosophic evaluation for the diagnosis of Feline Viral Leukemia
Main Article Content
Abstract
The domestic cat has been an invaluable companion to humanity, making it imperative to understand the diseases that can affect them. Feline Viral Leukemia (FVL) is one of the most common pathologies in veterinary practice and one of the main causes of mortality in felines, which underlines its significant impact on cat health. With the increasing number of people adopting cats as pets, the importance of studies on FVL to prevent its spread and improve veterinary care has increased. This virus is closely related to the development of lymphomas and is responsible for a variety of clinical syndromes in cats, surpassing other unique infectious agents in terms of its diversity of effects. Previous research in Ecuador has indicated prevalences higher than 50% in domestic cats, highlighting factors such as gender, age, lifestyle and geographic location as relevant variables. Therefore, this study aims to develop a Neutrosophic Evaluation that allows a more precise and exhaustive diagnosis of Feline Viral Leukemia. Neutrosophic testing is a valuable tool for veterinarians and veterinary medicine students, facilitating a more complete understanding of the pathophysiology of the virus and its associated syndromes, as well as the most effective strategies for its treatment and prevention.
