Abstract

In Ecuador, organ donation and transplantation faces challenges due to a fragmented and outdated legal framework. This research addresses the underlying problem, identifying barriers such as legal backlog, lack of information, and mistrust in the health system. The findings highlight the urgent need for legal reforms to improve coordination between health entities and increase transparency in organ allocation. In addition, the implementation of educational campaigns is recommended to demystify the donation process and promote a culture of solidarity and social responsibility in Ecuador, in order to improve donation rates and save lives more effectively. In this context, the objective of this research is to implement a Neutrosophic Hierarchical Analytical Process for the evaluation of organ donation and transplantation, which will serve as a tool to analyze and prioritize existing difficulties, facilitating informed and effective decision-making in improving the donation and transplant system in the country. With an analytical approach that takes into account various criteria, it is hoped to contribute significantly to the optimization of this vital process, thus promoting a more supportive and efficient system.
