AHP and Topsis methods for the evaluation of buc-cosinusal fistula obturation with pedicled adipose Bichat ball grafting
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Bichat fat ball is located in the buccal space, between the masseter and buccinator muscles. This adipose tissue is an excellent option to fill large oro-sinusal fistulas that are recurrent to other treatments. Its volume, vascularization and the versatility of the flap make it well tolerated and with a lower rate of complications. The research aims to develop a method that combines the Analytic Hierarchical Process (AHP) and the TOPSIS method to evaluate the efficacy of the pedicled graft of the Bichat fat ball in the closure of oro-sinusal fistulas. Several studies have reported positive results when using this flap to close oro-sinusal communications and maxillary bone defects, highlighting its simplicity and good tolerance. The integration of AHP and TOPSIS will allow for a comprehensive analysis of the effectiveness of the Bi-chat fat pad in this type of closure, as well as its benefits and complications, offering various alternatives for this intervention.
