Neutrosophic multi-criteria method for assessing the impact of ocean plastic pollution on the rights of nature
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research focused on the problem of ocean plastic pollution, highlighting its growing negative impact on marine biodiversity and human health. It is estimated that approximately 8 million tons of plastic waste are dumped into the oceans annually, which significantly affects marine fauna and flora, altering natural cycles and generating health risks by introducing microplastics into the food chain. Given this situation, the objective of the research was to develop a Multicriteria Neutrosophic Method to assess the impact of plastic pollution on the rights of nature and the right to a healthy environment. Proper management of plastics is therefore essential not only for the sustainability of marine resources, but also to ensure the well-being of communities that depend on these ecosystems. The study highlights the importance of incorporating criteria that assess both environmental effects and human rights in the development of waste management policies and strategies. This comprehensive approach seeks to promote a healthier and more conscious environment, emphasizing that the protection of marine biodiversity and public health are fundamental to achieving a sustainable balance.
