System of recommendations for the epidemiological evaluation of leptospirosis
Main Article Content
Abstract
Leptospirosis is a globally widespread, neglected, and emerging zoonotic disease that poses significant public health threats in both the developing and developed world, and is commonly found in tropical or temperate climates. The objective of this research was to base the epidemiology of leptospirosis as a Zoonosis as a global health injury. Leptospirosis requires timely diagnosis and treatment and it is vitally important to identify possible sources of infection. Severe forms of the disease can be life-threatening with multisystem damage including renal failure, liver dysfunction, vascular damage, pulmonary hemorrhage, and muscle lesions. Considering the complications described above, this research aims to develop a system of recommendations for the epidemiology evaluation of leptospirosis.
