Neutrosophic method to determine the prevalence of thyroid disorders in pregnant women at IEES Latacunga Hospital during 2019

Abstract
The Endocrine System, in interaction with the Nervous System, regulates all metabolic and homeostatic activity of the organism, determines growth and development, influences behavior and control of reproduction. The purpose of this research is to develop a neutrosophic method using expert criteria to determine the prevalence of thyroid disorders in pregnant women at the IEES Latacunga Hospital during 2019. A non-experimental, qualitative-quantitative methodology was applied. , cross-sectional, and with a descriptive scope, in a population of 202 pregnant women treated in the gynecology service at the IEES Latacunga hospital, Ecuador, during the year 2019. With the implementation of the proposed method, it was possible to identify that thyroid pathologies were manifest during pregnancy in a significant percentage, and that hypothyroidism is the most frequent pathology of all of them. In addition, it was shown that the highest prevalence of these disorders occurs in the age group of 26-35 years, in those of mixed ethnicity, in multiparous women and in those in the second trimester of pregnancy.
