Method for epidemiological monitoring of severe acute hepatitis of unknown origin in pediatric population during the current COVID 19 pandemic

Abstract
This research is focused on the comparison of clinical cases in pediatric patients who presented severe acute hepatitis of unknown etiology with the purpose of evaluating the severity that could occur in this risk group, characterized by gastrointestinal symptoms, elevated values of the liver enzymes (greater than 500 IU/L), monitoring of liver function should be considered. From which the present investigation proposes the development of a method for the epidemiological control of severe acute hepatitis of unknown origin in the pediatric population during COVID 19 pandemic.
