Abstract
The principle of procedural speed is a fundamental concept in the legal field that implies the need for judicial and administrative processes to be developed quickly and efficiently. This principle seeks to avoid unnecessary delays and guarantee that cases are resolved within a reasonable time. In the context of the adoption of children and adolescents, the principle of procedural speed takes on even greater importance due to the delicate and urgent nature of these cases. The objective of this research is to develop an aggregation model to analyze the principle of procedural speed within the administrative and judicial phases in the adoption process of children and adolescents. The application of the proposed method is demonstrated through a case study in the Ibarra canton. It is concluded that it is important to analyze the principle of procedural speed in the adoption process of children and adolescents because its proper application can have a significant impact on the well-being and development of minors. Delays in the adoption process can prolong the uncertainty and emotional instability of children, affecting their mental health and their ability to establish stable emotional bonds. Therefore, ensuring that the adoption process is carried out quickly and efficiently is essential to protect the rights of minors and promote their best interests.
