Abstract

In the current scenario, the introduction and expansion of artificial intelligence in Ecuador's judicial systems poses relevant challenges and opportunities. Although the implementation of artificial intelligence-based technologies is expected to improve efficiency, accuracy and speed in the administration of justice, questions also arise about how to ensure transparency, impartiality and protection of the rights of parties involved in judicial proceedings. It is crucial to carefully analyze the impact that the application of artificial intelligence will have on judicial decision-making, the privacy of personal data, equity in access to justice, and trust in the legal system. The objective of this research is to develop a multi-criteria neutrosophic method for the evaluation of the application of artificial intelligence in the judicial system of Ecuador. A mixed approach was applied, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design because it allowed evaluating the impact of the application of artificial intelligence in judicial systems of Ecuador.
