Neutrosophic method for the evaluation of the role of the popular and solidarity economy in local economic devel-opment, case of Cooperativa SAC
Main Article Content
Abstract
The popular and solidarity economy is based on principles of equity and inclusion, which facilitates the formalization of entrepreneurs who would otherwise be exposed to high risks of failure and the influence of informal and illegal economies. Despite its relevance, the impact of the financial funds provided by these entities on the local economy has not been clearly established. With this in mind, this paper aims to characterize the role of the popular and solidarity economy in the local economy through an analysis of the SAC Cooperative in Antonio Ante during the 2020-2024 period. In this context, the main objective of the research is to develop a neutrosophic method for evaluating the role of the popular and solidarity economy in local economic development, in the case of the SAC Cooperative. The study population consisted of current members of the SAC Cooperative. The results indicate that Savings and Credit Cooperatives have a positive impact on the local economy, especially in the primary and secondary sectors, by supporting businesses, primarily run by women and young people. This is achieved through productive microcredits of up to $5,000, which have helped stabilize these businesses and, in some cases, generate and maintain new formal jobs.
