Neutrosophic Multicriteria Method to evaluate the legal challenges of telemedicine in Ecuador
Main Article Content
Abstract
Telemedicine is emerging as an innovative solution to improve access to healthcare, especially in rural and remote areas; however, its implementation faces significant legal challenges due to the lack of an adequate regulatory framework. This research project aims to develop a multi-criteria Neutrosophic Method to assess the legal challenges of telemedicine in Ecuador, analyzing legal obstacles affecting its implementation, such as medical liability, data protection, informed consent, and quality of care in remote settings. Furthermore, guidelines are proposed for comprehensive regulation that guarantees patient safety and clearly establishes the limits of professional liability. These efforts seek to harness the potential of telemedicine to democratize access to quality healthcare services throughout Ecuador, thus ensuring that this innovative tool can benefit the population effectively and safely.
