Artificial Intelligence-Based Strategies for SMEs in the Dominican Republic: Integration of the Neutrosophic PEST-SWOT Model in Uncertain Contexts.
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper examines the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Dominican Republic, using a PESTLE analysis with a neutrosophic approach as the guiding framework. The PESTLE model considers Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal, and Environmental dimensions, while the neutrosophic perspective is based on the Philosophy of Indeterminacy. The study analyzes the key factors influencing AI implementation in the country, emphasizing benefits, limitations, and uncertain elements associated with its application. The findings suggest that a progressive adoption enables SMEs to interpret uncertainty not as a barrier but as a strategic asset to strengthen competitiveness through enhanced operational efficiency, improved customer service, and more robust decision-making processes. The results demonstrate that AI, within complex micro and macro scenarios, represents an essential resource for sustaining competitive advantages, aligning with recent studies on the Dominican context.
