System of recommendations on the performance of family and community medicine specialists in Cau- matology in postgraduate courses.

Abstract

The permanent professional development of specialists in family and community medicine in Caumatology in Ecuador is a necessity, since the specialists in family and community medicine who occupy a position as specialists in Primary Health Care in a health center must develop the necessary skills to perform comprehensive quality care for burn patients. Thus, the objective of this work was to develop a System of recommendations on the performance of specialists in family and community medicine in Caumatology in postgraduate courses, for the improvement of professional performance in comprehensive care for burn patients. In this context, it was necessary to assess the postgraduate courses in Caumatology of the Ecuadorian Universities of Medical Sciences. The applicability and affordability and necessary learning time of the courses were evaluated. The courses developed in the Ecuadorian Universities of Medical Sciences aimed at improving professional performance were analyzed.
