Abstract

This paper investigates an extended grey relational analysis method for multiple attribute decision-making problems under interval neutrosophic uncertain linguistic environment. Interval neutrosophic uncertain linguistic variables are a hybridization of uncertain linguistic variables and interval neutrosophic sets and they can easily express the imprecise, indeterminate and inconsistent information which normally exist in real-life situations. The rating of performance values of the alternatives with respect to the attributes is provided by the decision-maker in terms of interval neutrosophic uncertain linguistic variables in the decision-making situation. The weights of the attributes have been assumed to be incompletely known or completely unknown to the decision-maker and the weights have been calculated by employing different optimization models. Then, an extended grey relational analysis method has been proposed to determine the ranking order of all alternatives and select the best one. Finally, a numerical example has been solved to check the validity and applicability of the proposed method and compared with other existing methods in the literature.
