Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

About the Journal

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems (NSS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the University of New Mexico in collaboration with the Neutrosophic Science International Association (NSIA). The journal is dedicated to advancing theoretical and applied research in neutrosophy and its interdisciplinary extensions.

The scope of NSS includes but is not limited to:

  • Neutrosophic logic, sets, probability, and statistics

  • Plithogenic and refined neutrosophic systems

  • Algebraic structures and advanced topologies

  • Applications in artificial intelligence, computer science, decision-making, soft computing, and other scientific domains

  • More topics (click here)

NSS publishes articles continuously online and compiles them into monthly volumes. All content is freely accessible under an open-access model, with full-text articles available through the journal's official website.

The journal adheres strictly to international publishing standards, following the COPE Code of Conduct, the DOAJ Principles of Transparency, and the best practices outlined by the Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB). Every submission undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic integrity and research quality.

To support journal operations and maintain high-quality publication services, a modest publication fee of $200 is charged after acceptance. Fee waivers are available for authors from low-income countries.

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems (NSS) is an American academic journal, published continuously online as individual papers and monthly as volumes by The University of New Mexico, Gallup Campus, NM 87301, United States. It was created for publications of advanced studies in neutrosophy, neutrosophic sets, neutrosophic logic, neutrosophic probability, neutrosophic statistics, neutrosophic algebraic structures, and other related fields.

For more details, explore the following topics:

These topics and their applications cover all fields of knowledge.

Printed copies of all Neutrosophic Sets and Systems volumes are stored at The Hayden Library, Special Collections, Arizona State University (ASU), Tempe, AZ 85287-1006, USA.

Neutrosophic Set is a generalization of Crisp Set, Fuzzy Set, Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set, Inconsistent Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set (Picture Fuzzy Set, Ternary Fuzzy Set), Pythagorean Fuzzy Set, Fermatean Set, q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy Set, Spherical Fuzzy Set, and n-HyperSpherical Fuzzy Set. Neutrosophic Set has been further extended to Refined Neutrosophic Set.

Neutrosophy, as a new branch of philosophy, has been also extended to Refined Neutrosophy, and consequently Neutrosophication was extended to Refined Neutrosophication. Whence, Regret Theory, Grey System Theory, and Three-Ways Decision are particular cases of Neutrosophication and of Neutrosophic Probability. We have further extended the Three-Ways Decision to n-Ways Decision, the last one is a particular case of Refined Neutrosophy.

Neutrosophy (based on contradictions and their neutrals) [1995] is an extension of the international movement called Paradoxism (based only on contradictions in science, literature, and arts) [1980].
More information on paradoxism you find herein: https://fs.unm.edu/a/paradoxism.htm .

HyperSoft Set is a generalization of the Soft Set by transforming the uni-argument function F into a multi-argument function. IndetermSoft Set and IndetermHyperSoft Set that deal with operators having some degree of indeterminacy due to the imprecision of our world. And TreeSoft Set as an extension of the MultiSoft Set.

Further on there were introduced the Plithogeny (as generalization of Yin-Yang, Dialectics, and Neutrosophy), and Plithogenic Set and Plithogenic Logic as generalization of MultiVariate Logic   and   Plithogenic Probability and Plithogenic Statistics as generalizations of MultiVariate Probability and Statistics in neoclassical statistics.

<span text-decoration:="" none;"="" href="http://fs.unm.edu/NA/NeutroAlgebra.htm" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; box-sizing: border-box;">NeutroAlgebra and AntiAlgebra are generalizations and alternatives of classical Algebraic Structures (Algebras). See also the  SuperHyperAlgebra & Neutrosophic SuperHyperAlgebra SuperHyperGraph & Neutrosophic SuperHyperGraph SuperHyperFunctionn, SuperHyperTopology

NeutroGeometry and AntiGeometry are generalizations and alternatives of the Non-Euclidean Geometries.

The Neutrosophic Sets and Systems International Journal is committed to upholding ethics in publication and ensuring the quality of articles. The journal aims to publish only original scientific papers that contribute to the area of neutrosophic theories and their applications, as well as related topics. According to standards of ethical behavior, it is therefore expected of all parties involved: Authors, Editors, Reviewers, and publishers.

Human Subjects Research

Before conducting human subjects research, the author(s) must secure prior approval and ensure that explicit written consent has been obtained from each identified individual for the use of their information.
We prioritize anonymity and undertake all essential measures to safeguard the privacy of research participants.

Our Publication Ethics and Malpractice statement is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics ( COPE ) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Reviewer's Report

The reviewing process is as follows: several members of the Reviewing Committee choose at least three reviewers from around the world. Each reviewer sends a report and a recommendation: accept, reject, or accept after minor or major corrections. Reviewer Report
The reviewers have to comply with the COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.

NSS adheres to rigorous academic standards, including the practice of conducting external peer review. Each submitted manuscript undergoes thorough evaluation by external experts in the relevant field to ensure the quality, validity, and integrity of the research findings presented. This process of external peer review helps uphold the scholarly excellence and credibility of our publication.

iThenticate software (under a UNM license) is used to check for plagiarism and self-plagiarism in manuscripts.

Special Issues

Special Issues of the NSS represent curated compilations of papers focused on a particular topic. These thematic collections are meticulously organized and guided by subject matter authorities who assume the mantle of Guest Editorship. Within this framework, all submissions undergo the standard rigorous peer review process, ensuring scholarly integrity and quality consistent with regular publications.

Typically, the NSS Editorial Board extends invitations to esteemed scholars to serve as Guest Editors for these Special Issues. However, the editorial team also encourages and welcomes proposals from potential Guest Editors who wish to spearhead thematic collections aligned with the publication's scope and objectives.

The oversight of Guest Editor appointments and the evaluation of Special Issue proposals rest within the purview of the Editors-in-Chief, to ensure cohesion and adherence to the publication's standards while fostering diversity and innovation within the realm of specialized discourse.

PhD and Master Dissertations on neutrosophic theories and applications are cited into our above neutrosophy's official website.
