Workplace discrimination is an ongoing reality, despite various labor reforms in Ecuador and other parts of Latin America aimed at ensuring the right to work and providing job stability for workers. Ecuador also prioritizes effective equality between men and women, people with disabilities, and different races, which is a subject of constant debate addressed through international legal instruments and domestic laws in each country to combat any form of discrimination. The identification of clusters of individuals who experienced discrimination based on their sexual orientation and race/color highlights the interconnectedness between workplace discrimination and its impact on employment and the economy.
