Abstract

Postpartum haemorrhage is considered the most frequent cause of preventable maternal mortality worldwide, and the second most important cause of maternal death in Ecuador. The knowledge of the risk factors, as well as the causes that originate it, allows to prevent its incidence, that is why the neutrosophy is used to achieve greater precision in the results of this study. The main objective of this research is: to perform a neutrosophic statistical analysis of the knowledge of medical students about postpartum haemorrhage as a cause of maternal mortality. For the development of this research, methods and techniques of theoretical, empirical and statistical mathematical levels were taken into account. A mixed research approach was used with a cross-sectional and descriptive design. Once the data obtained were applied and tabulated, the results were interpreted and have an adequate level of validity, which favour’s the possible generalization of these results in other similar cotexts. The main conclusion of this study is the need to deepen students' knowledge of this subject.
