Abstract

Knowledge of programming has become a fundamental skill. However, for students who are just venturing into this exciting field, the programming language can seem intimidating and complex. This is where Scratch comes into play as a powerful and friendly tool to start the learning process in programming logic. Scratch, developed by the MIT Media Lab, is a visual programming language designed especially for young people and beginners. Its intuitive interface uses drag-and-drop blocks of code to create programs, eliminating the need to learn complicated syntax that often deters newcomers. This feature makes Scratch an ideal choice for students to explore the fundamental concepts of programming in a playful and frustration-free way. The present research proposes the development of a neutrosophic multicriteria method for evaluating the impact of Scratch. The proposed method bases its operation on a multi-criteria approach to evaluation. The proposal favors the recommendation of its use and implementation of Scratch. Among the most relevant results is that in a short time the students mostly managed to create animations, games, stories and more by combining blocks that represent different actions and logic. In conclusion, Scratch is presented as a pillar in the learning process of programming logic for students. Its focus on accessibility, creativity, and community gives beginners a gentle and engaging introduction to the world of programming.
