Abstract

Currently, one of the problems that affects both the dentist and the patient is anxiety, which goes hand in hand with past experiences, one's own or that of other patients. The management of anxiety is important, it allows to improve the behavior and collaboration of the patient, so that dental care is comfortable, techniques such as distraction through music therapy are applied, allowing anxiety to decrease and improve the quality of service provided to patients. This research proposes a solution to the problem raised from the development of a method for the evaluation of the degree of anxiety during dental care. The proposed method bases its operation on a multi-criteria approach to evaluation. A case study is implemented with the objective of evaluating the degree of anxiety during dental care.
