The purpose of this study is to investigate whether university students' performance is lowered by the constant use of cell phones and to identify if this becomes a problem. That is why the objective of the present research is: to carry out a neutrosophic statistical analysis on the use of cell phones in the second semester students of dentistry of the parallel "A" in their academic performance. A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out with the help of theoretical, empirical and mathematical statistical methods and techniques. The results indicate that they dedicate a high amount of time to the use of cell phones, that a high percentage of them have lowered their academic performance in that semester due to several factors, one of them being the use of cell phones. Aspects that denote the need to continue investigating this topic from other approaches and perspectives.
