Abstract

Blood biometry is a laboratory study frequently used in the diagnosis, control and treatment of diseases. The reference values establish the limits in which a result can be considered normal, for which empirical methods such as observation and survey and theoretical methods such as inductive-deductive and synthetic analytical methods were necessary, which contributed to the development of each section of the research. The methodology used was mixed qualitative-quantitative, from a cross-sectional perspective. The objective of the research is oriented towards: developing a neutrosophic study on the reference values of blood biometry in patients from 11 to 18 years old, attended in outpatient clinic in a Health Center in the city of Quito, period 2019-2020. The results obtained reveal that the use of neutrosophic is important to achieve greater precision in the data obtained since they contributed to identify the reference values of blood biometry in subjects between 11 and 18 years old, residents of Quito do not differ significantly with the parameters described for populations of similar age and altitude; but with those reported for subjects from other latitudes and older than 18 years old.
