Abstract

The main objective of the study is to evaluate the evolution and improvement of a patient with an irregular ridge, after undergoing a ridge regularization procedure. The evaluation process is carried out using the multi-criteria Linear Weighting method. This dental procedure is performed to prepare both the bone and the gums, in order to obtain a solid and stable base for the future placement of a prosthesis. It is performed if there are irregularities of the alveolar bone such as sharp protuberances and ridges; If the procedure is not performed, the prosthesis may cause discomfort, affecting the ability to speak or eat, and may not fit correctly. To verify the effectiveness of the Linear Weighting multicriteria method, a personal follow-up was carried out, and a comparison with other studies and their conclusions was carried out. The result of the evaluation revealed that a uniform, adequate alveolar ridge with a correct fit was made for a new prosthesis soon.
