Abstract

Good nutrition is essential for the health of pets at all stages of life and for the management of nutrient-sensitive diseases. The selection of a diet should begin with a physiological evaluation and the requirements of each species. For this reason, the purpose of this research is to reflect on the factors that influence the quality of pet foods and the correct use of balanced diets according to the age and physiological condition of the animal. Based on the above, the objective of this research is to apply a neutrosophic linguistic scale for the evaluation of the factors that influence the quality of pet food. In which the knowledge of the students of Veterinary Medicine at the Universidad Regional Autónoma de los Andes, in Ecuador, was evaluated. A transversal study was carried out, where theoretical, empirical and mathematical statistical methods and techniques were applied. The results obtained leave open lines for future research where the situation detected in this study can be transformed.
