Abstract

Burnout syndrome (BS) is the physical, emotional and mental exhaustion that results in the long term in emotionally demanding work situations and can be described as a prolonged response to chronic exposure to emotional and interpersonal psychosocial risks at work. The present research proposes the development of a method for the evaluation of the sociodemographic and work factors of SB, during COVID 19 in the nursing professionals of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Luis Gabriel Dávila Hospital in the city of Tulcán in the period June September 2021. The proposed method bases its operation on a multi-criteria approach for evaluation. A case study is implemented with the objective of evaluating the associated factors. The results obtained suggest that the female gender presents 24% depersonalization and the male gender 22.23%. This indicates that the female gender has a greater possibility of presenting depersonalization.
