Abstract

Breastfeeding has many benefits, but little is known about the effects of breastfeeding on oral development. That is why diet constitutes one of the main pillars to promote health and prevent various diseases, in this case malocclusions. The present research proposes the development of a neutrosophic multicriteria method for the evaluation of dental malocclusions in relation to breastfeeding. The proposed method bases its operation on a multi-criteria approach to evaluation. The proposal favors the recommendation of treatments that help reduce pain. The results obtained support the importance of exclusive breastfeeding as a preventive factor for the development of malocclusion, while bottle feeding and non-nutritive sucking habits are associated with a greater risk of malocclusion and is also a factor important during breastfeeding time.
