Neutrosophic evaluation of the vulnerability to swine cysticercosis in rural areas of the Picaihua sector
Main Article Content
Abstract
Porcine cysticercosis, caused by the parasite Taenia solium, affects rural facilities in the Picaihua sector, where Cysticercus cellulosae represents a parasite with a high degree of vulnerability. The objective of this research is to develop a neutrosophic evaluation method on the vulnerability to porcine cysticercosis in rural areas of the Picaihua sector. The level of knowledge of 26 owners of these facilities was also evaluated, where, through a survey, it was shown that many of them were unaware of fundamental information about the parasite Taenia solium and the disease it produces in both pigs and humans, which generates a zoonosis. With these results, a training plan was proposed to inform the inhabitants of the rural sector of Picaihua about how this disease affects public health and the economic sphere, in addition to providing essential information for the prevention of the disease in production pigs and in humans, as well as demonstrating effective methods of sanitary management, thus avoiding the prevalence of the parasite.
