Abstract

In this scientific article, a legal analysis was carried out around the principle of impartiality and the influence of various factors in the violation of said principle by the administrators of justice in Ecuador; such as gender stereotypes, identity conflicts, epistemic injustices, influence of the media and exogenous powers such as corruption. The objective of this research is to develop a method to evaluate the principle of impartiality and its influence on justice administrators in Ecuador. The method bases its operation on a multi-criteria approach where uncertainty is modeled using neutrosophic numbers. The conclusion reached in this study is that the introduction of citizen juries in the Ecuadorian judicial system would play a fundamental role in strengthening the principle of impartiality. By encouraging diversity of opinions, increasing transparency and promoting collaboration between judges and citizens, a more equitable and trustworthy environment would be built. This approach would reflect Ecuador's commitment to impartial justice and would contribute to the empowerment of judges in their mission to administer the law objectively and fairly.
