Analytical Hierarchical Neutrosophic Analytical Process for the evaluation of patients with Deep Venous Thrombosis treated at the IESS Ibarra hospital
Main Article Content
Abstract
The term Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) refers to the obstruction of a vein of the Deep Venous System by a thrombus, generally in the lower limbs. Treatment is based on anticoagulation, the guidelines recommend outpatient treatment and early discharge. The present research proposes the implementation of a method for the evaluation of patients with Deep Vein Thrombosis treated at the IESS Ibarra hospital. Its operation is based on a multi-criteria approach using the Neutrosophic Hierarchical Analytical Process. Additionally, it was determined which patients required hospital admission and in which outpatient management would have been the best option, based on the RIETE study score. Of the 130 patients, 85.4% (111:130) were hospitalized and 14.6% (19:130) were treated as outpatients, with an average of 6.45 days, with a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 20 days.
