Abstract
The present study was carried out in the La Esperanza commune, belonging to the Tufiño parish, Ecuador, with the objective of developing a system of recommendations on the benefits of the microbiota in children under 5 years of age. The research showed that the population lacks adequate knowledge about the microbiota and its relevance to child health. The results revealed that most mothers do not know the benefits of the microbiota, as well as the consequences of poor nutrition. In addition, they have not participated in health programs that promote intestinal well-being. This highlights the need to implement educational strategies aimed at informing families about the intestinal microbiota and its impact on the development of the immune system, digestion and the prevention of diseases in children. It is essential to consider that vaginal delivery, breastfeeding, complementary feeding and the environment are essential factors that influence the diversity and stability of the microbiota. Through a system that uses neutrosophic numbers in the inference process, the aim is to provide clear and accessible information, in order to promote healthy habits and prevent future illnesses in children in this vulnerable community.
