Abstract

3D printing introduced in oral and maxillofacial surgery has been an achievement that goes beyond all borders in the planning of reconstructions of the maxillofacial complex. The different bone defects caused by trauma, developmental or infectious pathologies turn out to be the most common reason for reconstructive techniques. Based on the problem described above, this research aims to develop a method for the evaluation of 3D technology applied in bu-comaxillofacial reconstructions. For this, it was decided to use the sets of neutrosophic numbers of 2-tuples, which consists of an evaluation based on a linguistic scale as a form of Computation with Words. The use of the neutrosophic sets allows to include the indeterminacy caused by the lack of information or by contradictory and inconsistent information that is usually found in the problems of daily life.
