Abstract
Complementary feeding is a crucial process in the development of children between 6 and 24 months of age, a period in which a variety of solid and semi-solid foods are introduced along with breast milk or infant formula. The research focuses on the development of a multicriteria neutrosophic method for the analysis of complementary feeding in children from 6 to 24 months of age at Health Center No. 1 in the city of Ibarra, Ecuador. The proposed methodology is based on the neutrosophic approach, which allows a comprehensive evaluation of various criteria that affect the quality of complementary feeding. These criteria include the nutritional variety of foods, the acceptance and preferences of children, the information and education that mothers receive about feeding, as well as the health conditions of infants. By integrating multiple aspects in the evaluation, the aim is to identify areas for improvement and provide evidence-based recommendations to optimize complementary feeding practices in the Health Center environment. The results of this research contribute to establishing a frame of reference for the implementation of intervention strategies that promote healthy and adequate nutrition in children in this age group. In addition, the findings serve as a basis for future research in other localities, promoting child well-being and reducing the prevalence of nutritional problems in the Ecuadorian population.
