Abstract

Dental mechanics laboratories have presented significant ergonomic risks due to inadequate postures and repetitive movements, common in the manufacturing of dental prostheses. For this reason, this study focused on identifying these risks and proposing safety measures for their mitigation. To achieve this, the RULA method was used to assess postures and movements, complemented by an analysis of the work environment and furniture design. Additionally, Neutrosophic SuperHyperStructures were employed to integrate implicit variables such as stress and environmental conditions. The results showed a high risk of musculoskeletal injuries, particularly in the upper limbs, neck, and trunk. Furthermore, the urgent need for preventive interventions was highlighted, such as redesigning workspaces and improving furniture. Finally, it was recommended to integrate implicit variables in future research for precise and effective interventions in the prevention of ergonomic risks.
