Neutrosophic multicriteria method for the legal analysis of treatment centers for people with addictions in Ecuador
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research addressed the illegal deprivation of liberty in rehabilitation centers for people with alcoholism and drug addiction in Ecuador, analyzing Constitutional Court Case No. 166-12-JH. Using inductive-deductive and descriptive methods, it was identified that, although these centers play a crucial role in addiction treatment, they frequently engage in abusive practices, such as the involuntary detention of patients without following legal procedures. In this context, the objective is to develop a neutrosophic multicriteria method for the legal analysis of treatment centers for people with addictions in Ecuador. The jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court underscores the importance of guaranteeing the right to liberty and establishing adequate legal procedures for the operation of these centers. Despite a robust legal framework, insufficient oversight has allowed arbitrary practices. The research proposes regulatory reforms and strengthening oversight mechanisms to ensure that the centers operate within the framework of human rights.
