Abstract

From the perspective of the theory of punishment, the victim is an important element in the justification of the imposition of the sentence, seeking retribution for the harm that has been caused. The analysis of victimology within criminology is dedicated to the study of the relationship between victims and perpetrators. The objective of the research is to develop a multi- criteria neutrosophic method to evaluate indicators of the theory of punishment and its relationship with victimology. Victimol- ogy advocates for victim-centered criminal justice, considering the victim's needs and concerns. This means that the penalty assigned to punish those offenders must be in accordance with the guilt, dangerousness and probability of committing the crime again, which determines the sentence length for the person who commits the crime. The proposed method results in an evaluation of punishment indicators and their relationship with victimology for the case study under analysis.
