The resolution of soft tissue injuries represents a great challenge for the surgeon. We present a diabetic patient who suffered a traffic accident and as a consequence soft tissue injury in the right lower extremity whose treatment was performed with a negative pressure pump, Vacuum Assisted Closure System (VAC therapy). A method for neutrosophic multicriteria evaluation of negative pressure pump treatment for limb soft tissue injuries in diabetic patients is developed. A clinical case of a diabetic patient who suffered serious injuries to the lower right limb, which were treated by surgical debridement, negative pressure pump and reconstructive surgery, is taken as the implementation scenario. The treated patient recovered without signs of infection. 7 surgical cleanings were performed by dragging and once in conditions for the reconstructive procedure, a skin graft was performed. Treatment with a negative pressure pump (VAC) is useful, effective, safe and generates a controlled environment that favors healing, with a low rate of complications.
