Open Access and Licensing Policy
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems (NSS) is a fully open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal committed to the global dissemination of scientific research in neutrosophy and its interdisciplinary applications. We strongly believe in the value of open and unrestricted access to knowledge.
- Open Access Commitment
All articles published in NSS are freely and immediately available to readers worldwide, with no subscription, paywall, or login requirements. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all articles without seeking prior permission from the publisher or authors, provided proper attribution is given.
This policy aligns with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.
- Copyright and Licensing
- Authors retain full copyright of their published articles.
- Upon acceptance, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish and distribute their work under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
- This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are properly credited.

- Article Processing Charges (APC)
To sustain high-quality editorial and technical services, Neutrosophic Sets and Systems applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of $200 (USD) for each manuscript accepted for publication.
❖ Key Notes:
- No fee is charged upon submission. Payment is requested only after the manuscript has successfully passed peer review and has been formally accepted.
- APCs help cover the costs of editorial management, website hosting, indexing, long-term archiving, typesetting, and maintaining the open-access infrastructure.
- Waivers for Low-Income and Developing Countries
In the spirit of inclusivity and global equity:
- NSS offers full or partial waivers to authors affiliated with institutions in low-income or lower-middle-income countries, as classified by the World Bank.
- Authors facing financial hardship may request a waiver during the submission process. Requests are considered confidential and do not influence editorial or peer review decisions.
- Editorial Independence
The journal guarantees that all editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit and are not influenced by the ability to pay the APC.
Editors and reviewers are blind to the authors’ financial circumstances throughout the review process.
- Self-Archiving and Repository Policy
Authors are encouraged to deposit:
- Preprints (submitted versions)
- Accepted manuscripts (post-review, pre-typeset)
- Final published versions (PDF)
In institutional repositories, subject repositories (e.g., arXiv), or personal websites without embargo. A DOI or citation to the official version should be provided.
- Digital Preservation
- All published content is archived by the University of New Mexico and stored in secure institutional repositories.
- Print copies are preserved at Hayden Library, Special Collections, Arizona State University.
- Transparency and Ethical Alignment
This APC policy is published publicly in compliance with ethical standards required by:
- COPE (Publication Ethics)
- DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals)
- Scopus Content Selection and Advisory Board (CSAB)
We are committed to complete transparency in all financial practices related to our publishing activities.
