Revenue and Advertising Policy

Revenue and Advertising Policy

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems (NSS) is committed to maintaining full editorial independence and transparency regarding its sources of financial support. All revenue is managed ethically and does not influence editorial decisions, peer review outcomes, or publication integrity.

This policy complies with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the best practices outlined by DOAJ and Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB).

  1. Revenue Sources

NSS is financially supported by the following sources:

  • Article Processing Charges (APCs): Authors of accepted papers contribute a fixed $200 USD APC, which helps cover:
    • Editorial management and coordination
    • Online hosting and platform maintenance
    • DOI registration and metadata submission
    • Long-term archiving and indexing
  • Institutional Support:
    • University of New Mexico (UNM)
    • Neutrosophic Science International Association (NSIA)
  • Voluntary Donations: Occasionally, voluntary contributions from academic institutions or individuals are accepted to support special issues or digital enhancements.

All revenue is used exclusively to sustain the journal’s operations, and NSS is operated as a non-profit academic publication.

  1. Editorial Independence

The editorial process is entirely independent of financial considerations.

  • Editorial and peer review decisions are based solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
  • Editors and reviewers are never informed of authors’ ability to pay APCs or waiver requests.
  • Financial support has no impact on whether a manuscript is accepted or rejected.

This separation ensures the highest ethical standards and prevents any conflict of interest.

  1. Advertising Policy

Currently, Neutrosophic Sets and Systems does not accept or display advertising on its website or in its publications.

If the journal chooses to accept advertising in the future:

  • Advertisements will be clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial content.
  • Advertisements will never influence editorial or peer review decisions.
  • The journal will reserve the right to decline any advertisements deemed misleading, inappropriate, or in conflict with its mission.

A transparent advertising policy will be published prior to initiating any advertising programs.

  1. Sponsorships and Partnerships

The journal does not accept commercial sponsorships that influence publication or editorial decisions.

Academic partnerships (e.g., conferences, research groups) may be acknowledged when:

  • They support special issues or themed collections
  • The partnership is transparent, non-commercial, and aligned with the journal’s mission
  1. APC Waiver Policy

To support inclusivity and equity:

  • Authors from low-income and lower-middle-income countries may request full or partial APC waivers.
  • Waiver decisions are independent of editorial outcome and processed confidentially.
  1. Transparency and Disclosure
  • This Revenue and Advertising Policy is publicly available on the journal website.
  • Any future changes to APCs, funding models, or advertising practices will be disclosed in advance and implemented transparently.
