Publisher’s Note on the 2025 Publication Volume
In 2025, Neutrosophic Sets and Systems experienced an exceptional increase in the number of published papers compared to previous years. We would like to clarify that this was not the result of a permanent policy change, but rather a unique academic occasion.
The year 2025 marked the 70th Anniversary of Professor Florentin Smarandache, the founder of Neutrosophic Science. To celebrate this milestone, the journal hosted Special Issues dedicated to recent developments in neutrosophic theory and its applications. These special issues gathered contributions from researchers in many countries and from multiple international conferences and workshops held throughout 2025.
Importantly, this academic recognition was not limited to Neutrosophic Sets and Systems. For example, the Lobachevskii Journal of Mathematics (Springer, Scopus-indexed) also launched a Special Issue Dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of Prof. Smarandache, under the title: “Refined Neutrosophic Set, Logic, Probability and Statistics: Theory and Applications.” Such international collaborations underline the global impact and legitimacy of neutrosophic research.
Thus, the higher publication count in 2025 reflects an exceptional scientific celebration and global academic recognition — not an inflation of output. Beginning in 2026, the journal has returned to its normal rhythm of approximately 20–25 rigorously peer-reviewed articles per volume, in line with international publishing standards.
Neutrosophic Sets and Systems remains fully committed to:
-
Maintaining strict double-blind peer review with independent referees.
-
Enforcing clear policies that limit editorial board members’ own publications in the journal.
-
Upholding the COPE guidelines for publication ethics.
-
Ensuring sustainable, high-quality contributions to the neutrosophic community worldwide.
