Call for Conference Proceedings

Overview
In science and engineering, addressing uncertainty and indeterminacy is essential, forming the core of many challenges. Today's data-rich environment often presents ambiguous and unpredictable information due to limited understanding and environmental interpretations, leading to variability in system inputs and interactions. Indeterminacy emphasizes the unpredictable nature and lack of fixed outcomes in complex systems, necessitating advanced methods to manage these issues.
Neutrosophic theory, developed from fuzzy set theories such as intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) and Pythagorean fuzzy sets (PFSs), was introduced by Smarandache in 1999. It provides a framework to address information characterized by uncertainty, indeterminacy, and contradiction. Neutrosophic sets (NS) uniquely quantify truth, indeterminacy, and falsity, offering a detailed representation of uncertain information. This theory has evolved into various forms, including interval and single-valued neutrosophic sets, and has been applied in fields ranging from supply chain management to medical diagnosis, overcoming traditional methodological limitations.
Recent advancements, such as plithogenic and hypersoft sets, have further extended the applicability and versatility of neutrosophic theory. These developments enhance our ability to model and analyze complex systems with inherent uncertainties and indeterminacies, marking a significant evolution in neutrosophic approaches.
The Mediterranean Conference on Neutrosophic Theory (MeCoNeT 2024), organized by the MIFT (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics and Earth Science) Department of the University of Messina, will be held in Messina, Italy on 24th and 25th September 2024, is an international multidisciplinary conference aiming to unite researchers for the first time in the Mediterranean area, as well as in Europe, who are studying various theoretical and applicative issues related to the expansive and diverse field of Neutrosophic Theories. Papers submitted and accepted at MeCoNeT 2024 after a peer review process will be published in the conference Proceedings in a special issue of Neutrosophic Sets and Systems.
