Abstract

Risk assessment of municipal water supply and drainage project costs is a multi-criteria
decision making (MCDM) problem. Water supply and drainage have various conflict criteria.
Two MCDM methods are used in this study such as SIWEC and MACONT. The SIWEC method
is used to compute the criteria weights and the MACONT method is used to rank the alternatives.
These methods are used under the trapezoidal fuzzy neutrosophic sets (TFNSs) to deal with
uncertainty and vague information. Eight criteria and eleven alternatives ate used to evaluate the
MCDM problem. The sensitivity analysis is conducted to show the stability of the ranks. The
comparative analysis is performed to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
