Abstract

 Evaluating teaching quality in university English translation classes is complex 
due to multiple interdependent factors and inherent uncertainties. This study introduces 
the Plithogenic Hierarchical Neutrosophic Entropy Fusion (PHNEF) method, a novel 
approach that leverages plithogenic neutrosophic probabilities and entropy to model and 
fuse evaluation criteria. PHNEF organizes criteria hierarchically based on indeterminacy 
entropy, employs recursive fusion, and adapts to new data via temporal entropy decay. 
Two case studies - a large public university and a small private college - demonstrate 
PHNEF's effectiveness. Results indicate that PHNEF provides precise, adaptive 
evaluations, outperforming traditional methods by effectively managing indeterminacy. 
This research offers a robust tool for educational decision-making in uncertain 
environments.
