The tobacco industry is going through a significant transition toward intelligent
manufacturing systems (IMS) because of the growth of the Industrial Internet and smart
manufacturing. By creating a systematic multi-criteria assessment methodology, this study seeks
to assess tobacco IMS performance in the context of the Industrial Internet environment.
Production efficiency, system integration, energy economy, real-time data responsiveness,
predictive maintenance, and consistency in product quality are among the key performance
metrics that are identified and evaluated. Six different IMS configurations are included in the
study, ranging from sophisticated 5G-based ecosystems to antiquated IoT-enabled systems.
These systems' performance is ranked using a hybrid decision-making process that combines
expert judgment and computer models. This study uses the Intuitionistic Fuzzy-Valued
Neutrosophic Multi Sets. The neutrosophic set is used to solve uncertainty information. The
results provide useful information on the advantages and disadvantages of existing technology
and emphasize how important digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and networking are to
the modernization of the tobacco business. By offering an industry-specific application with wide
ranging implications for digital industrial transformation, this study adds to the expanding
corpus of work on intelligent manufacturing.
