Neutrosophic Multicriteria Method for the evaluation of the homoparental adoption process in Ecuador
Main Article Content
Abstract
Adoption is a legal act that establishes a kinship between the adopter and the adopted child, granting the same rights, obligations, and responsibilities as in a filial relationship. In this context, same-sex adoption has been the subject of discussion in various laws, with notable progress in some countries and constant challenges in others. This study proposes implementing a Neutrosophic Multicriteria Method to evaluate the evolution of same-sex adoption in Ecuador, analyzing legislative changes, judicial rulings, and the challenges that have defined its recognition in different contexts. The objective is to reflect on its potential integration into the Ecuadorian legal system. The preliminary results of the application of the neutrosophic method suggest that, by prioritizing safeguarding the best interests of the child and the essential right to a family, same-sex adoption should be considered within the legal framework in Ecuador. This would contribute to ensuring equal rights and the absence of discrimination in the adoption process, promoting a more inclusive and fair environment for all families.
