Abstract

Academic writing is a formal style of writing for the university level that must be based on other teachings. Academic writing is not only used to complete an exercise in class, but is important for the production of student knowledge. For this reason, teachers must follow up on the writing process in the different activities in their classes and thus make up for their deficiencies from previous levels. Students feel confused in writing the research and fail to follow the necessary formality required by the APA Standards. The present research aims to develop a method for the assessment of the student in the process of writing the scientific article for the degree subject. The research was carried out from a basically qualitative approach and was also descriptive and transversal because it covered the academic period May - September 2023. As a result, aspects of interest in the general limitations on writing were assessed through a survey of law students. In conclusion, the writing of scientific articles at the University and their execution by the student were analyzed, which showed the need to systematize the formality required for the dissemination of legal science.
